According to a news article from the Ottawa Sun, the city of Ottawa plans to install 23 more automated speed enforcement cameras in 2023, bringing the total number of cameras to 60. The new cameras will cost $2.4 million and generate revenue from fines, which will be invested in road safety programs. In 2022, the cameras generated $9 million in revenue, followed by more than $11 million in the first 10 of 2023.
